Georgia tech oms analytics: In the latter part of 2017, I began exploring various online masters degrees that have a major concentration on quantitative abilities. This included data science, statistics economics, analytics, and a variety of MBA programs. However most of the top programs, including Carnegie Mellon’s Business Analytics or Berkeley’s Data Science program, carried astronomical cost of at least $50,000. Although a higher income isn’t the sole reason why I chose to pursue a masters degree, the price of cost of tuition made a significant dent in the returns on investments. After searching for programs for a few weeks, I discovered what I was looking to find. The analytics program came with an affordable price of less than $15,000, was flexible in a variety of specializations and was offered by a respected university. Georgia Tech’s recently created Online Masters of Science in Analytics program (OMSA).

Now, fast forward to today. I am currently taking the Financial Modeling course. When I complete it the course, it will be my 21st credit from the 36 credits required to complete the course. If all goes well I’m on track to complete the program before the end of the year. I’ve taken the prudent method of enrolling in just one class each semester due to my full-time work. If you’re looking for an online masters program that is heavy on quantitatives read on for my honest assessment of the program.
