Georgia tech masters: The Master of Science in Operations Research (MSOR) degree program focuses on the theory and practice of activity research through a rigorous graduate-level curriculum program. The curriculum focuses on evaluating and studying list activities by selecting data and data analysis, and in the program, students can choose between introductory and advanced doctoral programs.
Level courses depend on your background and interests. Completed in 12 to 16 months, the program is designed to provide students with the skills and competencies needed to conduct operational research. Students are actively involved in research and work with faculty ready to teach the latest developments in active research. MSOR students can apply for a Ph.D. even if they have not completed the thesis. The Learn MS OR program includes 30 credits with basic ISyE math and computer science courses. The course options available in the program are straightforward.
Students can focus on research in specific applications such as statistical optimization, statistical, computational science, and more in this program. Or take more math courses to prepare for your Ph.D. MSOR students are also encouraged to take classes that focus on Applied Operations Studies. Applicants should usually have a Bachelors’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering Science, or Computing and have strong quantitative skills. No prior background is required in Operations Research.
