The incomplete Crazy Horse Memorial is being constructed in Thunderhead Mountain, a part of the Black Hills in South Dakota revered as sacred by a lot of Native Americans. In 1939, Chief Henry Standing Bear wrote to the Polish artist Korczak Ziolkowski and asked him if they could design a memorial to honor Native Americans. Native Americans. Ziolkowski and other members belonging to the Lakota tribe selected the site that is Thunderhead Mountain, but it is controversial, and some Lakota people are extremely upset by the fact that their sacred land is being demolished. The monument, which upon its completion will be among the largest in the world, is being created out of the mountain’s slope using the use of controlled explosions. It also has an information center for visitors as well as a museum that documents Native American history.

The Liberty Bell is the most known bell around the globe and is now an internationally recognized emblem of Liberty. The name comes from absconding abolitionists who chose it as their symbol in their long struggle to secure Liberty from slavery. It was also featured in their periodicals Liberty in 1837. It was earlier known as”the State House Bell, after the building where it was located (now known as Independence Hall). It also became a symbol for that the American Revolutionary War (1775 to 1783) and is primarily linked to United States’ independence from the British Empire.
