Costa Rica is an adventure-lovers dream. Everywhere we turn, we are met with tranquil waterfalls, tropical rainforests and ocean waves. These are ideal conditions for rafting, zip-lining as well as canyoning, cycling and hiking. The leader in environmental and wildlife conservation projects, Costa Rica, is rich with fascinating animals. Our guides utilize their experience as naturalists to spot white-faced capuchins and howler monkeys, or perhaps the camouflage sloth inside the tree.

Breakfast is early, and then a three-hour journey to the first trip in which we’ll tour a small farm, and learn about the local farming practices and visit the sugar mill. After the tour dinner will be provided. We’ll get to sample the delicious food of rural living by eating the typical farm lunch. After lunch, we’ll head off towards Arenal Volcano National Park to explore an accessible trail leading to an ancient lava flow. If it’s a clear day, you’ll be rewarded with stunning images that span the entire area of Arenal Volcano. Apart from this volcano, Arenal Park covers hundreds of acres of pristine rainforest brimming with wildlife and tropical birds. After the hike, we drive into our camp, our base for the next three nights. There is the chance to unwind or take swimming in the pool before dinner.

A rush of adrenaline from breathtaking waterfalls kicks off the day. We’ll not only get the chance to view waterfalls from a completely different angle but also enjoy spectacular views and stunning trails on the route. We’ll then hike to La Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down and back), which gives us the chance to cool down and perhaps take a dip in the cold water that flows from the waterfall’s base. Our day will end in the famous hot natural springs of Arenal, where the water heated in the earth’s core traverses layers of rock before reaching the surface and forming hot-spring-fed pools that steam. The remainder of our evening is spent in this beautiful natural setting, enjoying the natural hot springs that are calming and relaxing.
