Overseas adventure travel galapagos: We’ve taken two tours with OAT as well as the third trip this June. We were on Their REAL LOW Costa Rica and their Amazon & Galapagos Tour. The trip in June will be Real affordable in Peru. We love OAT! The family we have of 4 with two parents and two teens is much younger than their usual population, but on both trips, we had the pleasure of traveling with friends that ranged from teenagers to adults, All with the same passion for adventure. The ship we traveled on in the Galapagos archipelago II Archipell II was clean and comfortable. The upper deck was decked out with 360-degree views! A fellow passenger who was a veteran sailor was happy with the way the ship was managed. I’ve conducted a lot of research on the internet to find similar companies with younger customers. However, nothing is comparable, and they all be at the same low cost.
I have recently been back from my Real Affordable Peru trip with Overseas Adventure Travel. The positive aspect is that the entire journey from the moment I arrived in Lima until leaving Lima was a great experience. The guide was well-informed and attentive to the group’s needs.
The issue is with the office located in Boston. They’re not equipped to serve customers outside of the US. I reside in Nova Scotia, Canada. They are able to accept any external credit card. However, that’s where the technology is broken. They are unable to post out of the US, and in my case, all correspondence about the travel, including the final papers, were sent to a friend in California and then addressed and then sent to into the US towards the East Coast and to my address North of Boston.
When I called their offices, the service personnel were always courteous, but they did not seem to know of the best way to deal with people who weren’t from the US. In the end, I spent the most time waiting in line while the representative moved back and forth to talk with someone else.
