OMSCS georgia tech acceptance rate: Nowadays, many bootcamps promote their programs as the best way to get lucrative positions in data engineering and software science. In the process, professional advancement is now the primary reason to pursue further education. Although OMSCS was helpful in my professional development, it wasn’t the reason I chose it.

In 2017, the majority of my data science expertise was acquired through self-study and work experiences. I did not have the basics and needed a structured course to master them. After looking at various possibilities (MOOCs and bootcamps), I decided that a master’s in CS would be the most effective way to fill the gap, so I decided to take the plunge.

The second reason is that I could even do it at a reduced rate. I was and am hungry for more knowledge and development. The field was increasing, and I didn’t want to be a part of it. In 2015, it focused on extensive data and Spark ( time capsule of the first Spark MOOC). Then came Data science. Then, machine learning. Then, deep understanding and its different flavors (e.g., CNN, RNN, GAN). The question is how to implement and maintain them and gain business value from machine learning technology. OMSCS let me cross academia and industry.
Three, Georgia Tech is a top 10 school in CS and Engineering in many rankings. It was a reassurance that I would get the most benefit from the teaching and classes. Since I’ve finished, I’m confident that the instructors and professors are of the highest quality.
