new born father
New born father: Dads have a lot to do in preparation for becoming fathers. You don’t know how many baby-book checklists and advice you get from friends with children, but no new father feels ready. It is important to discuss all contingencies with your partner. These contingencies do not only relate to the child but also to parent time management, possible friend visits, and self-and relationship care.
It is not always easy to do all the prep work. Many of the tasks are not covered in the baby books. Here are 15 things that dads should do before their baby arrives. This list will help the father-to-be make the first few weeks back home easier than dealing with terror and stress.
Although it seems obvious, some parents put off putting together the changing table. They might believe that the crib will come later, as they are cosleeping. It is not something any parent wants to do while they are sleeping. It’s a brutal task that requires nine hours of sleep. After a night of baby-crying, it’s torture in three hours of sleep.
This may seem obvious, but it is important that parents bring an infant car seat to the hospital. Parents must show nurses that they are able to put the child in a suitable car seat before the child can be sent home. It’s not enough to buy an infant car seat. Parents can also practice putting a baby doll or stuffed animal in the car. This will make it easier to get home.
