MSC computer science: Washington University in St. Louis’ Master’s of Science in Computer Science is directed toward students who have a background in computer science looking for an educational program focused on software. Students can choose either the program as a standalone course or include a project as an essay.
Students seeking the Master’s of Science in Computer Science must have completed (as documented in their transcripts from their undergraduate studies) and passed the test of or have completed before the beginning the program CSE 501N An Introduction to Computer Science, and CSE 502N CSE 502N: Information Structures and Algorithms.
The Computer Science Department and Engineering’s course requirement is the completion of 30 graduate units credits. Students must adhere to the general requirements of the degree that are listed below. They must also meet all breadth requirements.
This option will require students to finish 24 units of graduate credits and the six hours of CSE 599 Master’s Research. Students must meet the general requirements for a degree listed below, but they are not subject to breadth conditions. Check out the Guidelines for Projects and Thesis for more details.
The option for the project requires students to complete 24 graduate units credits and six units in CSE 598 Master’s Project. Students who choose to pursue the project option could take 27,27 units of Master’s classes and only three units of CSE 598 with advisor approval.
