Georgia tech online master’s in analytics: Another class that I truly liked due to the topic and the instructor. The professor, Dr Goldsman, was one of my favourite professors the most because he explained things clearly and made it fun. This class was all about advanced math. We’re talking about integrals as well as other calculus at a high level.
If you’ve not had the opportunity to experience this type of mathematical concept before, the course might not be for you. If you’ve taken advanced calculus classes in the past but require an update, you’ll be in good shape. Professor. Goldsman walks through a variety of exercises and, when you have your homework open while watching the lecture, you’ll be able to put them all together reasonably effortlessly.
The actual course wasn’t the way I had hoped for in both a positive and a negative way. I was able to gain knowledge about the mathematical components of simulations; however, I never actually programmed anything. It was a maths class and not a programming course. We did have software known as Arena, which taught us how to build simulations which I could imagine being essential for any job that will require simulation regularly. I wanted to know how to write simulation software using R and Python.
If you are a math enthusiast and are looking for an excellent enjoyable course, the simulation course, it’s a perfect option for you. If you’re more interested in programming but don’t like the math aspect of things, it might not be the best option for you.
This semester saw me working more than I initially believed I would because of Bayesian and Data and Visual Analytics in terms of workload. It was during this semester that I decided to speed the pace up. If I could do the same thing over and over, I would have probably tried to add another class with a lower workload, but I would have opted to either or the other.
